论新诗中的树意象与现代中国知识分子的精神取向

        树意象在中国古代诗歌中频繁出现,是最常见的意象之一。从《诗经》开始,就有许多借树抒情、以树喻人的篇章。树的象征意义在我国古典诗歌发展历程中已基本固定。而到了“五四”以后,在新诗中大量出现的树意象,在承续中华民族集体无意识的同时,其不同的样貌也体现出以诗人为代表的现代中国知识分子不同的精神取向。本文分为六个部分对新诗中的树意象与现代中国知识分子精神取向之间的关系进行论述:第一章分析了在具有相似时代氛围的“五四”时期与八十年代初期新诗中的树意象,探讨了现代中国知识分子在自我意识的觉醒之后,对独立精神的追求;第二章分析了三十、四十年代新诗中树意象的变化,探讨了在不同的社会氛围中,现代中国知识分子对绅士风度和革命精神的两种追求;第三章以分析郑敏和穆旦诗歌中的树意象为主,探讨了在社会环境恶劣的时期,部分现代中国知识分子冷静理性和不断对自身进行审视的精神品格;第四章分析了作为献身者和悲吟者的诗人笔下树意象的变形,探讨了五十至七十年代,现代中国知识分子在受难之时坚韧与屈服交织的复杂的精神内蕴;第五章分析了作为漂泊的倦行者和寻根者的诗人笔下的树意象,探讨了由三十年代的现代派诗人延续至八十年代先锋诗人寻找家园的精神追求;第六章通过分析八十、九十年代诗歌中对树木形象的还原过程,探讨了现代中国知识分子的还俗精神和以自然精神为指向的人的本真的回归。新诗从诞生至今已经走过近一个世纪的历史过程,新诗的流派众多、创作多样,意象纷繁复杂。而在形形色色的意象上面,其所体现的却是现代中国知识分子丰富而多元的价值取向、历史认知和情感态度。本文围绕树意象,重点对现代中国知识分子在不同时期、不同境遇下的精神取向进行了考察和探讨,期望增进人们对于新诗与现代中国知识分子的精神历程有更切实的理解。
    The image of tree is one of the most familiar and frequently-seen symbols in ancient Chinese poetry. There have been a lot of literary writings to express feelings by contrasting tree to human being, which could be back to the Book of Songs, and this pattern has been settled through the history of our classical poetry. Till the period of the May 4th Movement of 1919, the abundant emergence of the image of tree in new poetry is a manifestation of inheriting classics and history of Chinese nation in a collective and unconscious manner. And on the other hand, changes of the image of tree in new poetry reflect the turn of Chinese poets’spiritual turbulence in 20th century.This thesis discusses the relationship between the image of tree in new poetry and the spirit of modern Chinese intellectuals in six parts. Chapter 1 analysis between the tree image of similar age in the atmosphere of the "May Fourth" period and in the early eighties ,and emphasizes on symbol of tree as independence of human being; Chapter 2 on the transfer of the image Tree of thirty and forty years, to be either a gentleman or a solider; Chapter 3 on the Tree in poetry by Zheng Min and Mu Dan to explore the harsh social environment in the period, intellectuals remain cool and calm and continue to be examined on their own spiritual character; Chapter 4 on the transformation of twisted tree from devotees and sentimental poets of the fifties and the seventies, the modern Chinese intellectuals at the time of suffering and yield tough Spiritual Meaning of the complex interweaving; Chapter 5 on how the tree points out the direction of home for exhausted travelers of the thirties to root-seekers of the eighties; and Chapter 6 analyzes eighty-nineties poetry of trees to restore the image of the process of the secularization of modern Chinese intellectual spirit and the natural person to whom the spirit of the true regression.New poetry has gone through nearly a century of history from the birthday, there are many schools of new poetry, creations and complex images. Above all kinds of images, it is embodied in Chinas rich and diverse modern values, history, cognitive and emotional attitudes. This paper focuses on the tree image, focusing on the spirit of modern Chinese intellectuals at different times and different circumstances, looking forward to increase realistic understanding of history of the poetry and the spirit of modern Chinese intellectuals.
